SULB Saudi is a major steel producer using the Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) process. Its twin plants are centrally placed in the Arabian Gulf with excellent sea and road links to other parts of the Middle East, South Asia, the Far East and Europe.
Born of a joint venture between Foulath, a major Arab investment company and Yamato Kogyo of Japan, SULB has technologically advanced industrial systems. The combination of the resources and expertise of these shareholders underwrites the strength and market potentiality of SULB.
In addition, SULB enjoys access to reliable supplies of raw materials and gas-fuelled energy supply. Its operations are sustainable, qualitydriven, safe and dependable It is a sister company to Bahrain Steel, which operates one of the world’s largest mine-to-metal iron ore pelletising plants on the site immediately adjacent to SULB in Bahrain, thus guaranteeing a reliable supply of high-quality iron ore pellets.
