Electronics and Systems Holding Company is a consumer electronics company within the Al Faisaliah Group. Founded in 1970 under the name Modern Electronics, the company began by distributing Sony products in the Kingdom, supplying PlayStation consoles, mobile phones, personal headphones, home cinemas, cameras, portable devices, recorders, and televisions.
In 1971, the Professional Electronics Business was established to handle Sony’s professional products, serving the media needs of various government ministries. The business has grown significantly in the intervening years and now forms the largest company within the Al Faisaliah Group. The company has become more diversified: while Sony remains a key partner, the company now provides a wide range of electronic products and solutions to consumers, businesses, and government entities.
