Grand Mosque Ready to Receive Visitors, Worshippers during Ramadan

Spokesman of the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque Maher Al-Zahrani said that the authority is ready to receive visitors and Umrah performers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah during the blessed month of Ramadan 1445 Hijri.
The Grand Mosque and its courtyards, he said, were fitted with over 25,000 new carpets, and some 50 places for ablution inside the mosque and 3,000 toilets in its courtyards are available for use. He also said 15,000 Zamzam water containers are distributed around the mosque.
Al-Zahrani pointed out that 4,000 workers wash and disinfect the Grand Mosque 10 times a day to ensure a hygienic environment for visitors and worshippers, and 3,000 liters of air fresheners are used to create a fresh and pleasant atmosphere.
The authority, he said, organizes visits to exhibitions held in the mosque and to the Library of the Grand Mosque to enrich visitors’ experience.
