Sulphur & Sulphuric Acid – Essential for Agriculture & Industry by NCSP
Sulphur & Sulphuric Acid are widely used in agriculture, industry, and chemical production. They enhance soil fertility, boost crop growth, and serve as critical components in manufacturing. Below, we explore their types, benefits, and applications.
Sulphur Bentonite Pastilles – SB 90
Sulphur Bentonite Pastilles (SB 90) are 2-4 MM fertilizer-grade granules made from pure molten sulphur. Their swelling bentonite allows sulphur to break into smaller particles, ensuring better nutrient absorption for plants. These dust-free, free-flowing pastilles have a tan copper color, making them easy to mix with other fertilizers.
Our Sulphur Bentonite Pastilles production follows the Steel Belt Cooling Pastillation Process by M/S SANDVIK, which includes:
- Precise Mixing – We blend molten sulphur with carefully selected fertilizer-grade bentonite.
- Solidification – A specialized system forms uniform pastilles.
- Quality Control & Packaging – The product undergoes de-dusting, size segregation, and efficient packing.
Using these pastilles improves nitrogen absorption, enhances phosphate and micronutrient uptake, and reduces soil pH for better plant growth.
Sulphur – Elemental Sulfur & Brimstone
We also produce elemental sulphur pastilles in 2-4 MM size using pure molten sulphur. These light yellow, dust-free, and free-flowing granules are highly versatile for different industries.
Our Sulphur Pastilles manufacturing follows the Steel Belt Cooling Pastillation Process by M/S SANDVIK, which includes:
- Purification & Filtration – Ensuring high-quality molten sulphur before processing.
- Pastillation – Creating even-sized pastilles for consistent quality.
- Packaging & Quality Check – Keeping the product dust-free and segregated by size.
These sulphur pastilles are widely used in the production of Sulphuric Acid, fertilizers, fine chemicals, fungicides, pesticides, and many other chemical-based products.
Sulphuric Acid (98.5%) – Industrial-Grade Chemical
Sulphuric Acid (H₂SO₄), also called Oil of Vitriol, is a colorless, odorless, and oily liquid essential for various industries. It has a boiling point of 338°C, a specific gravity of 1.84 at 15°C, and reacts strongly with water.
Our Sulphuric Acid Plant uses the Double Conversion, Double Absorption (DCDA) Contact Process by M/S Monsanto – DMCC Enviro-Tech and Engineering Limited. This involves:
- Sulphur Combustion – Burning sulphur to produce Sulphur Dioxide (SO₂) gas.
- Gas Conversion – Converting SO₂ into Sulphur Trioxide (SO₃) with vanadium-based catalysts.
- Acid Formation – Absorbing SO₃ into Sulphuric Acid, which reacts with water to form concentrated sulphuric acid.
Key Uses of Sulphuric Acid:
- Fertilizer Production – Essential for phosphate fertilizers.
- Water Treatment – Helps in pH control and chemical processing.
- Petrochemical & Metallurgy – Used in refining and metal treatment.
- Pulp & Paper Industry – Supports paper processing.
- Battery Industry – Essential for lead-acid storage batteries.
- Chemical Industry – Key raw material for various chemical products.
Physical & Chemical Properties:
- Appearance: Clear, viscous liquid
- Purity (Assay): 98% minimum
- Specific Gravity (@25°C): 1.83 – 1.85 g/cm³
- Iron (Fe): 20 ppm max
- Sulfurous Acid (SO₂): 20 ppm max

Packaging & Storage
We offer Sulphur & Sulphuric Acid in different packaging options for convenient transport and use:
- Bulk Tankers – Suitable for large-scale industrial needs.
- 1000 L IBC Containers – Ideal for bulk storage.
- 220 L HDPE Drums & 20 L HDPE Cans – Suitable for controlled distribution.
For safe storage, Sulphuric Acid should be kept in non-reactive containers in a dry area, ensuring that containers stay sealed when not in use. When stored correctly, it maintains its quality for up to 2 years at ambient temperature.
Conclusion
With high purity, precise formulation, and advanced technology, our Sulphur & Sulphuric Acid ensure efficiency and reliability for multiple industries. Whether used in fertilizer production, refining metals, or chemical manufacturing, these products provide consistent performance and high quality.
