Saudi Arabia and Turkiye discuss cooperation on AI and digital infrastructure

Saudi Arabia and Turkiye explored opportunities to deepen cooperation in the field of technology, including artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure, during talks in Riyadh on Tuesday.

The Saudi minister of communications and information technology, Abdullah Alswaha, welcomed the Turkish minister of transport and infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, to his ministry’s headquarters, where they discussed prospects for the expansion of partnerships in a range of technology sectors, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

They reviewed opportunities to strengthen investment and cooperation in digital infrastructure, as both countries seek to accelerate innovation and support the growth of their digital economies. Other topics included the integration of advanced technologies and smart mobility solutions within the transport sector, with the aim of improving connectivity and creating new opportunities for collaboration.

The talks were described as a reflection of the growing Saudi-Turkish partnership in technology and innovation as the Kingdom continues to advance its digital-transformation agenda under the Saudi Vision 2030 plan for national development and diversification.
